Heartbreaking sale of our pony of a lifetime. Earl is a dapple grey pure bred Connemara who is 12 this year. He has a life height at 14.2hh but is full up and would also suit someone looking for 15hh. We have owned him for 4 1/2 years and in that time he has done EVERYTHING with my 2 daughters filling them with confidence. He is totally easy and straightforward in every way with no vices. Hacks alone or in company on the buckle. Been on fun rides, to the beach, on holiday, travels out a couple of times a week to rallies or competitions. 100% all traffic, shoe, travel, clip, handle etc
*Been to camp 4 times
*Won the dressage cup for senior camp
*Been to Pony Club Championships for dressage
*Won Best all round combination 2016
*3rd Area 14 80cm Eventing league having been top 5 in all 6 qualifying events!
*Dressage always well under 30.
*Lovely steady reliable xc ride
Although he happily jumps a 90+ sj course in rallies he is not totally consistent, at that height at competitions so would not sell him as a pure show jumper. In saying that hes had lots of placings out at local sj comps.
*Daughter passed her B Test on him
*Hunted with previous owner
Numerous wins and Championships both on the flat as a junior ridden Connemara and as a Working Hunter including -
*Champion Working Hunter and Reserve Champion Ridden South West Connemara Show
*Champion Working Hunter Mid Somerset Show
*Champion Open ridden Mountain Moorland North Somerset Show
*Reserve Champion Junior Ridden Bath and West
*Champion Working Hunter SWPA
*Champion Novice Ridden NPS
*2nd Junior WHP NPS Summer Champs and placed Junior Ridden flat M&M Finals
*1st and Champ TSR Junior Ridden Finals
*7th overall National Connemara Perfornance Scheme out of 65 entries, with 2nd placings in WHP and Multiple placings in various sections
Literally hundreds of photos/videos/refs available.
Last year Earl had a VERY mild bout of laminitis after jumping on hard ground whilst carrying a few extra pounds which was completely my fault. Full X-rays available showing NO damage whatsoever and farrier can be spoken to. He is fit, in full work, lives out in his usual paddock and does not need to be starved. He is just not fed the same ridiculous amount of hard feed that he used to get! This is reflected in the price.
Earl would be suited as Mother/child share, a less confident person/top class ladies Riding Club allrounder.
